Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: October 20, 2026

Welcome to proanotherapy.com. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website and all services, products, courses, and content offered through it by Proaño Development.

Your use of this site is subject to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy, which are part of these Terms. By accessing or using the site, creating an account, booking a service, or making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by the terms herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You must be at least 18 years old to book services or make purchases. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a school, center, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

1. Who we are

This website, proanotherapy.com, is operated by Karla Proaño, doing business as Proaño Development (“we,” “us”), based in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA. You can reach us at karla@proanotherapy.com or +1 (201) 579-3018.

2. Educational, non-clinical services

Our services and products are educational and non-clinical. They include developmental profiles, parent coaching, NeuroPlay play sessions, REPAL™ training, talks, and downloadable resources.

  • We do not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapy services, and we do not diagnose any condition.
  • A REPAL Developmental Profile is a non-clinical, strengths-based observation. It is not a diagnostic or screening instrument and does not replace an evaluation by a licensed professional.
  • Using our services does not create a doctor–patient or therapist–client relationship.
  • If you have concerns about a child’s health or development, please consult a pediatrician or a qualified licensed professional.
  • In an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis in the US, call or text 988.

3. Appointments and services

  • Services are by appointment only, in person in New Jersey or virtually.
  • We do not accept insurance. Payment is due at the time of booking and must be tendered in full prior to the start of the session.
  • To cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged in full, as explained in our Refund Policy.
  • A parent or legal guardian must be present or reachable for all services involving a child.

4. Digital products and licenses

Our REPAL™ activity kits and guides are downloadable PDF files. When you buy one, you receive a license to use it, not ownership of the content. The license depends on the edition you buy:

Edition

Who may use it

Family & Caregiver Edition

One household, for personal use with your own children

Classroom Edition

One teacher, in their own classroom

Professional Edition

One individual professional, with the children and families they serve

School, center, or team license

As agreed in writing with us

Under every license you may print as many copies as you need for your own use under that license. You may not:

  • share, forward, resell, sublicense, or give away the files, in print or digital form;
  • upload them to a shared drive, website, marketplace, or social media where others can access them;
  • remove our name, copyright notices, or the REPAL™ logo;
  • present the materials, the REPAL™ Framework, or the Guardian characters as your own;
  • use the materials to train artificial intelligence tools, or to create products for sale.

Need it for more people? Contact us about a school, center, or team license.

5. Online course and Certificate of Completion

  • Course purchases include access for up to 12 months (or up to the lifetime of the course, at our sole discretion) from the date of purchase.
  • Your course account is for one person and may not be shared.
  • A Certificate of Completion is issued after you complete all required course modules and lessons, interim assessments (e.g., quizzes, interactivities, etc.), and the final assessment (e.g., final quiz or exam, final reflection activity, etc.).
  • The certificate confirms that you completed the course. It is not a professional license, certification, or credential, and it does not provide continuing education (CE/CEU) credits.

6. Free resources and emails

When you download a free resource, you join our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Free resources follow the same license rules as paid ones.

7. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time. The price at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Payments are processed securely by PayPal / Stripe / WooCommerce Payments (or WooPay). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.

8. Refunds

Refunds for digital products, the online course, services, and books are explained in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this site and in our products, including text, PDFs, videos, illustrations, the REPAL™ name and logo, the REPAL™ Framework, REPAL Foundations, and the characters Luna, REPI, Rami, Eniko, Pip, Ari, and Lumi, belongs to Karla Proaño and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share a link to our pages or quote a short passage with credit. Any other use requires our written permission.

10. About REPAL™ and results

REPAL™ is an evidence-informed framework: it draws on established research in child development, neuroscience, and education, and it is currently being studied as a complete framework. Every child is different. We do not guarantee any specific developmental, educational, or behavioral result.

11. Using this website

Please do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, no spam, no copying content in bulk, and nothing unlawful, harmful, or abusive in forms or messages. We may suspend accounts or cancel orders that break these terms. Any unlawful use of this site, or unlawful activity involving our content, products, or services, including unauthorized copying, distribution, or resale of our materials, will be reported to the appropriate authorities and pursued to the fullest extent of the law, including civil action and referral for criminal prosecution.

Our site may link to other websites and tools (for example, scheduling, payment, or video platforms). We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.

13. Disclaimer

The site, services, and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, services, or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the site or products, or from your breach of these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Bergen County, New Jersey.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, or limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect.

18. No waiver

If we do not enforce any part of these Terms right away, or at all, that does not mean we give up our right to enforce it later. A waiver of any part of these Terms is valid only if it is in writing and signed by us.

19. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and any written agreement or invoice for a specific service, are the entire agreement between you and Proaño Development about your use of the site, services, and products. They replace any earlier understandings, whether written or spoken, on the same subject.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated Terms.
