2. Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our tools may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technology. We use this to keep the site working, remember your cart and language, and understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features, such as the cart, may stop working.

3. Children’s information

This website is meant for parents, caregivers, and professionals, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child comes only from the child’s parent or legal guardian, or with their permission. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How we use your information

  • To answer your messages and schedule and provide services.
  • To process orders, deliver downloads, and give course access.
  • To issue Certificates of Completion.
  • To send the free resources you request and, if you joined our list, occasional emails about new resources, courses, and events. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the site secure and improve it.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

Research: information from our services is never used for research or publication without your separate, written consent.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Website hosting: Bluehost
  • Online store: WooCommerce
  • Payments: PayPal / Stripe / WooCommerce Payments (or WooPay)
  • Email list: Bluehost / Jetpack
  • Scheduling: Calendly / Google
  • Video sessions and courses: Google / TutorLMS / WhatsApp / Zoom
  • Website statistics: Bluehost / Google Analytics / Jetpack
  • Website translation: GTranslate

We may also share information if required by law, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. As educators working with children, we may have a legal duty to report suspected child abuse or neglect to the authorities.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as needed: order records for 7 years for tax purposes, service notes and reports for 2 years, and email list details until you unsubscribe. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect it

We use secure (HTTPS) connections, trusted payment processors, password-protected accounts, and limited access to records. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it (unless we must keep it by law);
  • stop sending you marketing emails.

Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. To make a request, email karla@proanotherapy.com. We will answer within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.

9. Visitors outside the United States

Our business is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. By using the site from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to the United States.

Our site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
