Proano Early Childhood Developmental Wellness and Family Coaching

Understand your child before the label

Bilingual, non-clinical developmental profiles, family coaching and play-based support for children ages 0-5 in New Jersey — plus professional learning for the educators who walk beside them.

✓ 20+ years · Ecuador & U.S.

✓ DIRFloortime® Clinical Supervisor

✓ IMH-E® Infant Mental Health

Not every difference is a diagnosis.

Our work is non-clinical and educational. We don’t diagnose — we help you understand how your child plays, relates, regulates, and learns, and we work alongside your pediatrician, therapists, and school when more support is needed.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi, I'm Karla Proaño

I’m a bilingual early childhood development specialist with a master’s in educational neuropsychology and more than 20 years of experience in Ecuador and the United States. In addition to supervising a DIRFloortime® clinical center, supporting families in early intervention, and guiding and evaluating Child Development Associate candidates as a Certified Professional Development Specialist, I am currently completing my doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership at Kean University.

I started Proaño Development because families deserve to understand their child clearly, warmly, and in their own language, before anyone reaches for a label.
